Yes we can.

Many things to be thankful for:

First and foremost Barack Obama is our 44th President.
We have (hefty) democratic majorities in both House and Senate
Two outrageous bills banning abortion almost entirely (SD) and another very dodgy bill on these issues out of CO were voted down swiftly.
Washington seems to have retained her Democratic Governor and
We appear to have passed only the second Death with Dignity (physician assisted suicide) bill in the nation (lovely Oregon has had one for a while).

We got HOPE.
