Birthy thoughts

To my client under the oak tree who are birthing today as I write - without me (I must be at school), ably assisted by my gorgeous back-up Patty. I'm sad to be missing her birth but at 42 weeks on the nose and the day after a (jackass, bastard) OB told her that her "baby would likely die in the next couple of days" if she didn't submit to induction after gloriously reactive NST and good AFI.... what an asshole. She labors today on a beautiful spring morning unde her ancient oak tree.

I ride the ferry to school full of strong, happy thoughts for them as they walk their path to parenthood.
